Over the break, student lab assistant Brandon Cabading and lab staff prepared the labs for the Winter quarter and beyond.

Here is what is new or different in the labs:

1. General Development (GenDev) Labs
   1. Workstation Images

      • Eclipse 3.2.1 (to support newer WTP)
      • Eclipse Web Tools Platform (WTP) 1.5.2
      • Eclipse eUML2 2.1.1 plugin

     Use this software to create demonstration videos (.avi files) or streaming video Flash files (.swf) of your projects.

   • Default printer setting

     Brandon developed and tested a means of setting the default printer based on where you are. For example, if you are in the DOU110 lab and your default printer was set for the SCI106 lab, your printouts would go to the DOU110 printer instead. We activated this default printer setting mechanism for everyone over the break.
