The Equation Editor in Microsoft Word can be installed in DOU110 only by this workaround:

1. Save all of your current work to the H: drive.

   You will be temporarily disconnecting your H: drive.

2. Open a DOS or CMD prompt

3. Enter (that is, type and press the Enter key):
   g:\eqned
4. If asked to really disconnect, enter:
   Y
5. Close the Equation Editor by any means

   Don't type anything into it or try to save anything, just close it.

   Equation Editor is now installed. You will see your home directory re-mapped to the H: drive.

6. Open Word, and from the Insert menu choose "Object..."

   One of the choices should be "Microsoft Equation 3.0". Select it.

7. Start entering your equations.
